“Economic growth rate of 2014 a hoax”- Dy. Minister Harsha

 

The United National Party (UNP) charges that the economic growth rate for the year 2014, released by the previous government, was a hoax.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo this morning, Deputy Minister Harsha de Silva said although the previous government boasted of a 7.4 economic growth rate for last year, the real growth rate for 2014 was only 4.5.
