Jaffna Public Demands International Judges …..

2015  UNHRC resolution suggested Sri Lanka appoint a ‘hybrid court’ with international and local judges to prosecute alleged war crimes during the final phase of the war, but Sri Lanka  Government has shown reluctance, wanting to rely instead on a credible domestic mechanism. This stunt was  re confirmed by the President and the Prime Minister.

Jaffna  public has  staged a protest this morning, demanding the involvement of international judges in Sri Lanka ‘s Justice and Accountability mechanism.
