Nothing Prevents Tissa to Join UNP

Former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake has been accused of three counts of charges including preparing forged documents.

President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have been named as first and second witnesses of this Case. Current UNP General Secretary Minister Kabeer Hashim is also a witness in this case.

The summonses were issued when the Case against former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake was taken before High Court Judge Wikum Kaluarachchi yesterday.

Kabeer Hashim warmly greeted his predecessor Tissa Attanayake in the court promises yesterday.

 When journalist questioned Kabeer Hashim whether Tissa Attanayake will be taken back to the UNP fold, Kabeer replied that there is no bar for Tissa in re joining the UNP.
