Prison Bus Shooting Main Suspect ‘Bunti’ Describes Attack Operation….

Main Suspect in the prison bus shooting on 27th February 2017 called ‘’Bunti ‘’ alias Kurupuge Chaturanga Pushpakumara  was arrested and remanded. On request  made by the Colombo Crime Division he was  further remanded up to 27th March 2017. Court permission was obtained  to hold Bunti for further questioning.
Police sources said, on interrogation  ‘’Bunti ‘’  spilled  the beans. He described  how  the operation  carried out.  He revealed who supplied weapons and uniforms that were used  during the attack in which  Samayan and six others shot down. Ten personnel were involved  in the shooting, he confirmed. The killer gang was led by Angoda Lokka, who wore uniform  similar to that of  police and other nine  wore dress similar to prison authorities. Angoda Lokka wanted to abduct Samayan and torture him. But Samayan was badly injured during the shooting and Angoda Lokka dragged him across the bus and shot him on the head near the bus door. Bunti  further said, for this attack operation, assistance of   South underworld  leader  Madush’s  Assistant  was obtained.
