Wimal Transferred to Prison Hospital

Wimal Weerawans, who is currently in prison on allegations of misusing state vehicles, is continuing the hunger strike for the fifth day urging for his release. A bail application filed on behalf of him is scheduled to be taken into consideration by the Fort Magistrate on 3^rd  April. Earlier, the Colombo High Court rejected a bail application filed by MP Weerawansa. The former Housing Minister, who is currently in prison on allegations of misusing state vehicles, is also continuing a hunger strike for the third day, which he commenced urging for his release.

Followed by this, MP Wimal Weerawansa who is on a hunger strike has been transferred to the prison hospital today(26).
