Private Sector Purchase Maha Kannaya & Yala Kannaya Seasons Cultivated Paddy

The chairman of the paddy marketing board, S.B. Dissanayake, stated, that as the private sector purchase Maha Kannaya, Yala Kannaya   seasons paddy at higher prices, it has not been brought into the market for retail purposes

However, he further added that the board is prepared to purchase stock if presented, at any given time.
