One Day Strike of Unprotected Railway Gate Operators
As their demands were neither discussed nor resolved, unprotected railway gate operators have decided to stage a 24 hour strike on the 31st of every month, starting from today(31), said Secretary of their union Nimal Chandrasiri. Hence, island wide unprotected railway gates will not be closed when train pass the location from 6.00am today until 6.00am tomorrow.
