Coconut Price Shot Up to Rs 90

Hector Kobekaduwa Agricultural Research and Training  Institute issued statistics  about coconut prices. Accordingly, price  of a  big coconut  is  between Rs 60 and Rs 80.  Price of a small coconut is Rs 55.

However, price of a big coconut has shot up to Rs 90 in the local market. Unless otherwise action is taken to address this issue by authority concerned, price of a coconut will go up to Rs 100 during the new year season , Market sources said.
