DNA Report on 26 Body Parts From SAITM Suspected to be of Thajudeen in Court Today

On September 21, 2016 the CID conducting investigation into murder of former rugby player Wasim Thajudeen informed Court that several body parts including Wasim Thajudeen were transported out of the mortuary coolers at the Colombo JMO office to the SAITM in Malabe, in a vehicle during the time Prof. Ananda Samarasekara was functioning as Colombo Chief JMO.
Subsequently, the  Court ordered to send 26 body parts recovered from the SAITM institution in Malabe to ENETECH institution for a DNA test to ascertain whether the seized body parts at the SAITM was of late rugby player Wasim Thajudeen nor not.
Followed by this,  a  DNA report has been sent to the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court by ENETECH institution.
The said  DNA report is to be opened in the presence of Additional Magistrate J. Trotsky today (05).
