Disgruntled MPs Deployed on Finance Ministry Monitoring Duties

UNP back bench  MPs  allege that they are  not given opportunity to serve the public despite the party  now being in power.  UNP  Deputy Leader cum Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake  came forward  to engage 40 MPs   to monitor  institutions coming under the purview of the Finance Ministry. He has also agreed  to give them a vehicle  permit in return for their  service.

Previous regime  under Mahinda  too had  appointed monitoring MPs to   Ministries.  .  Sajin vass  Gunawardena and Duminda silva were appointed  to the Foreign Ministry and the Defence Ministry respectively  as  monitoring MPs .
