Possibility for afternoon thundershowers is getting reduced (until 10th April).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces after 2.00p.m. A few showers also can be expected in the South-Western coastal areas during the morning.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
On the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05th and 15th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (07th), are Bambalapitiya, Waga, Maliboda, Welimada, Badalkumbura, Dombagahawela and Pottuvil about 12:13 noon.
