A Bag of Essential Goods Worth Rs 975 During Upcoming New Year

The government has decided to provide a bag of essential goods worth 1,515 rupees for 975 rupees during the upcoming festive season.

The Ministry of Finance said, that  the bag of goods can be purchased at all Sathosa outlets across the island from the 10th to the 20th of April 2017.

The bag of essential items will contain a kilogram of dhal, 500 grams of potatoes, a kilogram of big onions, 2 kilograms of white rice and 500 grams of sprats. A kilogram of white sugar, a 400 gram packet of milk powder, 425 grams of tin fish, 200 grams of dried chilli and 500 grams of gram will also be available.
