Government’s Statement on Controversial SAITM (UPDATE)

Leader of the House Minister of Higher Education Lakshman Kiriella said the government will table a set of recommendations pertaining to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine.

Speaking in Parliament today Minister Kiriella said the report will be tabled by the Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education.

Minister Kiriella said the government will within the day provide a series of recommendations to the SAITM issue.

He noted this will be handed over to the Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education adding it will be made public.
