Weather Forecast For 8th April 2017
Mainly fair weather will prevail over most provinces of the island.
However, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts particularly after 2.00p.m.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
On the apparent northward relative motion of the Sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05th and 15th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the Sun is overhead today (08th), are Kochchikade, Ambepussa, Peradeniya, Dunuwila, Maduru-Oya, Bulupitiya and Addalachena about 12:12 noon.
