Comparative Price of Fresh Produce is Cheaper – Dayananda

The Chairman of the Dambulla Dedicated Economic Center, U.R. Dayananda said, when comparing the retail price of fresh produce with the previous year have seen a larger reduction in price.   He further added, that the variety and quantity of vegetables sold have decreased, and that farmers have deviated from traditional growing of fresh produce.  Dayananda stated, that despite the lower prices, certain retail stores have been selling certain goods at a higher price.
