Weather Forecast For 13th April 2017
Inter monsoonal rainy has been enhanced by a low level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka. Showery weather conditions during afternoon and night will continue until 15th April.
Showers or thundershowers will occur in the most provinces of the island after 2.00pm.
Showers may occur in the Eastern, Western and Southern Provinces during the morning too.
Heavy falls (about 150mm) can be expected at some places particularly in the Western, North-western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
On the apparent northward relative motion of the Sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05th and 15th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the Sun is overhead today (13th), are Talaimannar, Kannadi, Parappukul and Periyamadu about 12:11 noon.
