Isuru Devapriya Blames Urban Development Authority For Meethotamulla Disaster

 The Chief Minister of Western Province, Isuru Devapriya said, that in the past Western Provincial Council has submitted  a proposal regarding disposal of garbage . But due to non corporation of the Urban Development Authority that it could not be implemented.

Garbage disposal is a matter allocated to Local Government Councils and Provincial Councils. However, Urban Development Authority encroached into it. Hence the Urban Development Authority should take full responsibility for the disaster at Kolonnawa, Meethotamulla said,  Isuru Devapriya.
