Meethotamulla Residents Refused to Bunch an Inch Despite Danger Zone Signal

Residents of the Meethotamulla area was demarcated as a danger zone by the  Government . Hence, they were  asked to  leave  danger zone  and provided temporary shelter  in two paddy warehouses and in flats until  permanent houses are built  and granted to them. School will begin soon for their children. How can they  take them to school and take them for exams from these temporary  locations.
Hence,  they  refuse  to move out claiming their houses were not illegal dwellings and that the government was just trying to get them to move. Meethotamulla residents see this as a sinister move by the Government  to shift them to flats and  deprive   them of their lands.
