Police Empowered to File Case Under Excise Ordinance Act

Earlier Kalutara Magistrate ruled that police has no right to file a case under excise ordinance Act.

But today (27), Galle Magistrate Nishantha Peiris  ruled that police is empowered to file case under excise ordinance  Act. Police said, that they will be filing  cases under excise ordinance  Act along with the order of the Galle Magistrate in future.
