Mahinda’s Robberies Led to Current Situation – Chandrika

Chandrika Bandaranayke while addressing a New Year event in Balangoda town said, that the previous government claimed that they have won the war and destroyed the country. All developments were set aside. Although five years have passed after defeating the Tigers peace has not been restored.

There were no plan to bring reconciliation between Tamils and Sinhalese. The new government which assumed office has taken steps to bring reconciliation among different ethnic groups.  People have brought this government into power with great expectation. Now some people are shouting that cost of living sky rocketed, unemployment increasing and the economy of the country have fallen to the bottom. But the previous government is responsible for the current economic burden in the country, she concluded.
