Drawn 1 Lakh of People at Galle Face at the Cost of Rs.5.5 Billion

 

A Colombo Daily has revealed, that the Joint Opposition has spent Rs.5.5 Billion to bring 1 Lakh of people at the Galle Face for the May Day. Construction of the Stage alone cost 87 lakhs.

Although they discussed about the expenditure incurred for liquor and food, it has not been disclosed. Mahinda faction is scared to reveal this expenditure. JO member Kumar Welgama said,   that if it is revealed through which wrong campaign will be initiated. However Dinesh Gunawardena confirmed spending Rs.5.5 Billion for this May Day rally. Mahinda will submit an expenditure report today. Thereafter, several information will be disclosed to the public.
