Marichchukaddi Affected People Met Parliamentarians & Explained Their Plight

People in Marichchukaddi , who are affected by the gazette notification issued continue to stage protest struggle to date.

Organizers of Marichchukaddi people met Parliament leaders in Parliamentary complex  yesterday and explained their plight.

They met ACMC  Leader  cum Minister  of industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen , who is accompanied by Mosque representatives , local politician, JVP Anura Kumara Dissenayake , Democratic National Front Leader Mano Ganeshan , SLFP Vice President  Faizer Mustapha and EPDP MP Douglas Devananda.

They explained the  back ground under which gazette notification was made.  They said, though they struggle , it has not been addressed by the Government.  Parliamentary Leaders  have  justified the struggle of Marichchukaddi people and  promised to stand by them.  Organizers said, that it was a fruitful meeting which bring strength to their struggle.
