Basil to Retain His US Citizenship.

Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa made a remark during an interview said,  he would not give up  his US citizenship. He was not in a position to let go of his US citizenship as his family lives there. Being a US citizen he cannot  contest any election in Srilanka in the future.

 He further said the 19th Amendment to the constitution was introduced to shut the Rajapaksas out of politics.
