79 Cases Filed During Traffic Operation

The special traffic operation implemented in Colombo will be introduced to other parts of the island in future, Police Headquarters state.

Police Media Spokesperson, DIG Priyantha Jayakody said that this special operation which was implemented day before yesterday (04) involved the filing of court cases against drivers that violated traffic lane rules and road rules. 79 cases were filed during the operation.

Police Media Spokesperson stated that 79 cases were filed against violations such as crossing traffic lanes and blocking lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road, and using mobile phones while driving.
