Arrest Gnanasara Thero Immediately…..

Cabinet Ministers Rishad Bathiudeen, Fizer Musthafa, UNP Member of Parliament Marrikar, National United Front Azad Sally jointly lodged a complaint against Gnanasara Thero’s unruly activities against Muslims and Allah at Police Head Office this evening (18).

They have submitted documents and electronic media recordings of Gnanasara Thero’s recent utterances along with the complaint and demanded immediate action. Followed by lodging written complaint, they met the Inspector General of Police and briefed him about Gnanasara Thero’s nefarious activities against Islam and Muslims, which have gone beyond control.

This same Gnanasa Thero, who disgraced Allah and Rasool during the previous regime, is continuing his activities unabatedly without fear or hindrance even under current Good Governance Government. Police appears to have ignored taking action against him. Good Governance Government too has not taken notice of his nefarious activities. As far as Muslims are concerned, there is no difference between the previous regime and current regime. Muslims have lost confidence in good governance.

Gnanasara Thero has become a law unto himself. We are compelled to think whether law and order in the country has been killed and buried. Hence, if Gnanasara Thero is not arrested, there is a possibility of disturbance to peace and co-existence among different ethnic groups in Srilanka, they told the IGP in no uncertain terms.
