Fairly strong winds at times (up to 50kmph) can be expected over the island (Especially in the western slope of the central hills) and strong winds at times are expected also in the south-eastern and southern sea areas of the island (up to 60 kmph).These winds can be strengthened during showers.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-western provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur atseveral places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00pm.

Fairly heavy falls (more than 50 mm) can be expected at some places.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
