Case Against GMOA’s Chairman Padeniya Postponed
Government Medical Officers Association , Chairman Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya was appeared before the Court of Appeal today on charges of Contempt of Court.
Notice was issued by Chairman of the Appeals Court Vijith Malalgoda and judge S Thurairajah upon considering a petition filed by Professor Sarath Wijesooriya and Dr. Gamini Viyangoda.
The petition stated the Chairman of the GMOA Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya had stated the decree issued by the Court Of Appeal pertaining to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine was illegal, at a public gathering held on the 7th of April.
Followed by this , Anuruddha Padeniya’s case will be taken up on 22nd August 2017.
