Protest to Place NLB & DLB Under Foreign Ministry

With the recent cabinet reshuffle  , it was announced that the National Lotteries Board (NLB) and the Development Lotteries Board (DLB) were to be placed under the jurisdiction of Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

All-Island Lottery Dealers’ Association (AILDA)  yesterday warned that if that happens they will opt for trade union action shortly. They said, both institutions  were running at a lost , when it was under  Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

The Secretary of the AILDA SS Madurasinghe stated that a final decision on  trade union action will be taken at its AGM in Colombo on 27 May.
