Leave of District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries Cancelled

Ministry of Local Government has declared that leave of District Secretaries Divisional Secretaries and their employees are cancelled. All those who are on leave are requested to report back for duty immediately. This decision was taken to get them involved in providing relief to public affected by torrential rain and flood water. If there is a shortage for personnel to engage in relief operations, district secretary of the affected are is authorised to deploy retired employees and carry out relief operations.
