Gnanasara Thera’s Case Postponed
General Secretary of Bodu Bala Sena Organization Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera was charged in the Court of Appeal for contempt of Court alleging that he misbehaved inside the Courtroom, when Journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda Disappearing Case was being heard by Homagama Magistrate Court.
At the last occasion when the case was taken up for inquiry on 24th May , lawyers appearing on behalf of him informed the Court that he was sick . Hence, he could not attend the Court. The Court in turn ordered Gnanasara Thera to appear in Court today (31) along with the medical certificate.
When the case was taken up today he was not present in Court .In the meantime police teams reported to have been detailed to track down and arrest him.
In his absence the Court of Appeal has postponed the case to 12th June 2017.
