A Raft Toppled & 3 Died in Matara

A makeshift raft carrying three people toppled in Aththudawa, Matara.  In this incident, three members of the same family including a teenager have drowned .

Sri Lanka Navy said that the bodied of a father (38), his wife (30) and their 14-year-old son reported missing  were recovered earlier today (01) and placed at the Matara General Hospital.

Meanwhile the Sri Lanka Navy advises individual affected by the floods not to return to their inundated homes using small boats or rafts.
