Government Opened 5 Bank Accounts to Enable Donors Towards Flood Relief..

The Ministry of Finance said that the government has opened five bank accounts at Sampath Bank to facilitate cash donations by Srilankans  living overseas  to remit their donations towards relief work .

Donations in US Dollars can be remitted to the account number 5029 6000 2000 at Sampath Bank while donations in Sterling Pounds should be directed to the account number 5029 6100 2000.

Furthermore, cash donations in Japanese Yen can be remitted to 5029 6400 2000.

Donations in Australian Dollars should be remitted to 5029 6600 2000 while donations in Euros should be remitted to 5029 6900 2000.

The Finance Ministry said the government will utilize all such donations received, for the reconstruction of homes of disaster victims.
