Rs 10.6 M Flood Relief From East to South

The Eastern Provincial Council Chief Minister, Hafiz Nazeer Ahamed said, that  they are raising  flood relief  of Rs 10.6 million to be given those affected by the floods and landslides in the South and elsewhere.

A statement issued by him reads ‘’People in the East never failed to help those in need. We have submitted a motion in order to help the flood affected people in the South. It is our responsibility to help our brothers in the South,” he said.
“When the people in East were affected by the tsunami, people from the South and other parts helped them to recover from the unexpected event. So we should help them too.”
