In most of the rice selling shops prices for rice are displayed on the shop boards but rice is sold at above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
Price of rice marked at Rs. 80 a kilogramme or below is being sold for between Rs. 90 – 97 a kilogramme , violating MRP fixed by the government.
