No Change in Recruitment Age Limit of 35 years

During oral question time, TNA MP Sriskandarajah raised a question and asked  whether steps will taken to increase the recruitment age of 35 to 45,   considering the opportunity lost by the students and people due to war. She made this request to increase recruitment age limit of staff  to  be recruited to the Northern Provincial  Council. Further, she referred to employee’s failure to pass efficiency bar examination and recruitment of drivers from the South to the Northern Provincial Council. While refusing  to change age limit , Minister of Public Administration and Management  Ranjith  Madduma Bandara  said, that  no change  can be made to Public Administration circular dated 14th November 2011, in which recruitment age for public service was mentioned as 21 to 35, he promised to look  into other matter.
