Duties Assigned to Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Finance &Media

After the recent minor reshuffle of cabinet, Departments, Corporations, Boards and Institutions coming under the purview of above Ministries were not allocated and gazetted. Last night a gazette notification was issued allocating Departments, Corporations , Boards and Institutions coming under both Ministries.

Accordingly, under Foreign Ministry Diplomatic missions, Kadirgamar Institute, NAOS, National lotteries Board, Development Lotteries Board will function. Minister Ravi Karunanayake said to have insisted that lotteries Boards should be allocated to him and some employees on learning of it had protested in the recent past. However, Ravi Karunanayake has achieved his target. Under Ministry of finance and Media thirty three (33) Institutions including Treasury, Customs, Inland Revenue, Excise Department, Government Information Department, all state electronic Media Institutions such as SLBC, SLRC, ITN etc and State printing Media were brought.
