Government Agreed to Lift Ban on Full Face Helmets

The Ceylon Motorcyclists Association (CMA) said, that the Government has agreed to lift the ban on the use of riding helmets that completely cover the rider’s face. Several unions including the Ceylon Motorcyclists Association had participated in a discussion with the relevant government officials at the Ministry of Transport premises.

President of the CMA, Chirantha Amarasinghe confirmed that the Government had taken steps to amend the relevant gazette notice issued.
