Bus Fares Hike From July

Deputy Transport Minister Ashok Abeysinghe while speaking to reporters at a press conference held in Colombo today said, that increase in bus fares up to 6.5 % may come to effect from July.

He further said, this may happen following the annual bus fare revision,  which has been decided to be granted by the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.

He also went on to say a final decision regarding the fare hike has not yet been reached.
