Police to Implement Road Rules Strictly From Today

Director in Charge of the Colombo City Police Division Sumith Nissanka said, that Police will strictly implement road rules from today. They concentrate on Galle Road, High Level Road,Casel Street, Ayurvedic Junction, Baseline Road,Parliament Road, Sri Sangaraja Martha etc.Mostly three wheelers and Motor cyclists violate Road rules including lane rules, he said.

Those who violate road rules will be subjected to :

1) Follow advisory classes

2) Impose on the spot fines

3) Cases will be filed.

Category depends on the type of offence an offender violates.
