CV Requests Resignation of NPC Two Ministers Found Guilty by the Committee

Followed by submission of a 86 page report compiled by the committee set up to investigate corruption allegations made against ministers of the Northern Province,   the Northern Provincial Council  has convened a special  meeting today to debate on the report.
When the Chief Minister of the Northern Province, C. V. Wigneswaran rose up to speak , members of the TNA walked away  from the meeting. When the Opposition Leader  try to speak that two was not allowed. Chief Minister Wigneswaran in his speech has requested  the Ministers of Education and Agriculture in the Northern Province to resign effective immediately, today (14) and said, that both of them, to be suspended from their posts for a period of one month from today.
When the ministers were asked to show cause with regard to the allegations, they both pleaded not guilty.
The next session of the provincial council is scheduled to be held on June 22 while a discussion on filling the vacant ministerial portfolios is to take place on that date.
