Ravi Wants Garbage Piles in Colombo be Cleared Within 4 Days

Garbage piled in and around Colombo has become the subject of talk among politicians.

Municipal Commissioner & Officer Implementing the Powers & Function of the Colombo Municipal Council, V. K. A. Anura stated that strict legal action will  be taken against those caught disposing of garbage in areas belonging to the Colombo Municipal Council.

In the meantime, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ravi Karunanayake stated that the game of tug-of-war between government institutions collecting and disposing garbage and the public was causing distress to the citizens. Hence, the garbage piled in and around Colombo must be cleared within the next 4 days.
