Showery condition is expected to continue in the South-western part of the country and Uva province.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Galle, Matara, Rathnapura and Kaluthara districts.

Several spells of showers can be expected in Central and North-western provinces and in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kegalle and Hambanthota districts.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Uva and Eastern provinces and Mullativu districtafter 2.00 p.m.

Fairly heavy falls about 50 mm can be expected at some places (particularly in the Kaluthara, Rathnapura, Galle, Matara, Badulla and Bandarawela districts).

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
