BBS is Behind the Attack on Muslims

Police spokesman DIG, Priyantha Jeyakody said, that police investigation already done on attack of mosques and on trade centres belong to Muslims disclosed the fact that the BBS is behind every attack and 14 suspects have been rounded up and arrested.

When the police arrested the suspect responsible to set fire to 4 trade centres belonged to Muslims, BBS Executive Director Dilantha Vithanage called for a press conference and challenged the police to prove it. On the other hand police didn’t call press conference and explained but we showed in action . In connection with the petrol bomb attack on Kurunegala Mallawapiitiyta mosque police arrested suspects. Entire Kurunegala people knows the back ground and the affiliations they had with the BBS. He further said other suspects involved in attacks on other mosques and trade centres in the island will be arrested soon.

Police investigations done so far disclosed the fact that BBS is behind in all recent religious and ethnic attack on fellow citizens. They will be charged in the courts of law in accordance with the provisions in Law No 56 of 2007 for inciting ethnic, religious conflicts among Srilankan citizens and in accordance with section 291 (1) of the Penal Code.
