Locomotive Engineering Operators’ Union Poised to Strike Tomorrow

The Locomotive Engineering Operators’ Union (LEOU) said,  that an island wide strike will be commenced from midnight Tomorrow (20). The Union pointed out its decision has been announced to the relevant authorities in written.

Locomotive Engineering Operators’ Union  Secretary said, that strike will be launched since the authorities have failed to address their issues and as the Transport Ministry has violated the appointment procedure by assigning the engine drivers’ duties to the co-drivers.
