Japanese Vaccinations to Eradicate Dengue in Srilanka

Participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday, Colombo Municipal Council Chief Health Officer, Ruwan Wijeyamuni said, that it is impossible to completely control or eradicate Dengue disease through foreign bacteria alone.

He further said, that currently the Health Sector was considering administering the two vaccinations produced in Japan. On the other hand, Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne recently stated that a bacteria produced in Australia would be used in the future for eradicating Dengue.
