Water Tariffs to Increase

 State Minister of Town Planning and water supply Sudharshini Fernando said yesterday (20) that the cost of supplying pipe water has increased significantly. Hence, the water Board is compelled to increase water tariffs soon.

Now 1000L water is supplied for Rs12, but bottled 1 L water is sold in the market for Rs70. As the cost of supplying pipe water increases day by day, we are looking for ways and means of increasing water tariffs in the future
