Rape Attempt by a Uniformed Police Sergeant Defeated by the Victim
A women has gone to the public relations division of the Kepetikollawa Police Head Quarters to obtain a certificate. A police Sergeant who has attended it had gone to her house next day (21st) and tried to molest her. In self-defence the women has taken a pole and attacked the police sergeant. In the attack police sergeant got injured and unable to leave the place. Thereafter she has informed the Kepetikollawa police headquarters’ officials about the incident. A police team from Kepetikollawa called over at her residence and found bleeding police sergeant on an easy chair. They arrested him. Investigation revealed that he has made a log entry in the police book to the effect that he is going out on duty. Further investigation are carried out the Kepetikollawa police.
