Gampola Hospital Health Services Suspended Due to……

Regular functioning of the Gampola Teaching Hospital has been obstructed owing to the waste disposal unit located nearby. Due to  unpleasant odour and risk of microorganism contamination brought about by the waste disposal unit of the Gampola Municipal Council, services of the Operating Theatre, Clinical Optometry Unit and Neonatal Care Unit had to be suspended, said ,Doctors attached to the Gampola Teaching Hospital.

Doctors regretted to reveal   that despite informing the Secretary of the Gampola Municipal Council, no response has been received so far.
