Weather Forecast For 5th July 2017

Mainly fair weather will prevail over most provinces of the island.

However few light showers in the southern part of the island and,showers or thundershowers may occur at few places in the Eastern province (particularly in the Trincomalee district) after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Southern province (Particularly in the Hambantota district).

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
