Black Listed 67 Foreign Employment Agencies?

The Srilanka Foreign Employment Bureau has registered 702 foreign employment agencies.  While 355 are registered in Colombo, Kurunegala, Kandy and Anuradhapura agencies numbering 130, 44 and 25 had been registered with the SLBFE respectively.  

The Srilanka Foreign Employment Bureau has disclosed that 67 foreign employment agencies have failed to attend inquires initiated against them based on complaint received by the SLBFE. Hence, the SLBFE was compelled to black list these 67 foreign employment agencies.

During the last six months, they alleged to have involved in sending people abroad on employment without proper registration with the SLBFE, submission of false documents, soliciting money from those, who are sent abroad and not sending required personnel abroad after obtaining agency fees from foreign Personnel Management Companies.
